(I took the header picture of a Common Loon resting on a pond in Utah on its way north in June of 2015. It was in transition from winter to summer plumage.)

This was funny. I have several notebooks of "poetry", from the time, as a young man, that I perceived myself a bard. I have the wisdom now to spare the world the horror.

Regarding MST3K, Joel and several others from the show have started a new gig, called Cinematic Titanic, that does live voice-overs of bad movies in theaters. But no robot puppets; there was a falling out during the last few years of the show and, alas, Joel, the creator of MST3K, no longer owns the rights. Here's a link:

That was great. It's a shame you can't remember more of that poem - the one about the booger - cos it's brilliant.
I like the Screaming Skull. The Beast of Yucca Flats is probably the best movie ever made though.
Thanks for showing me how to spell booger, as well.
Jon.

I once entered a bad poetry contest on the internet, which was a much bigger deal back in 1996 than it is now. I think my poem was "Ode to the Sock I Found in My Fridge One Midsummer Morning," and I promptly forgot all about it until three years later, when a classmate of mine randomly discovered it, printed it out and posted it on the bulletin board in the dorms. Heh.

As for bad MS3TK-style movies, my heart belongs to "Manos: the Hands of Fate" and it always will.

Thanks for the refs, all. There's also _Kung Pow": Enter the Fist_ . . .

I actually saw _Manos: the Hands of Fate_ at Half Price Books once (hand over heart). I should have bought it.
