(I took the header picture of a Common Loon resting on a pond in Utah on its way north in June of 2015. It was in transition from winter to summer plumage.)

I'm quite fond of that song, "My Next 30 Years." (eat a few more salads, not stay up so late...)
I have mixed feelings about getting older. I always thought I would enjoy the dignity and authority of age but I am not happy to see silver strands on my scalp. I love my hair color. I will miss it when it goes. Plus, I'm not sure that youth today venerate age, but certainly the serenity and self confidence I gain will aid in my work.
